I sort of remember it. Reading books, I mean...I am kidding of course, but the days of racing through 2 or 3 books a week are a distant memory. Right now I'm reading 'Revolutionary Road' (brilliant but depressing) and alternating with Unconditional Parenting which makes me realise how every parenting technique i've ever used so far (star charts, encouragement, threats, and the one I'll miss most, bribery) are bad...no wonder I open up the International Herald Tribune (the best newspaper in the world) every morning with excitement! In there it's only war, hunger and terrorism...When I say 'open up the IHT' I mean that literally. Every 2nd or 3rd day I get to scan a few pages (since having children and being married to my producer I have trained myself to speed read!) and look longingly at the crossword before closing it again. However, I will stop whining now and go and look for a novel that somehow combines comedy and romance, with a couple of strong female characters and written in a subtly brilliant style...hmmmm...let me see...could it be I Can't Think Straight, or maybe The World Unseen...?
