Recently set up by Hanan Kattan and Shamim Sarif, the Sarif-Kattan Foundation aims to give back to various causes, with a particular focus on women's and children's issues, by way of donations, and also through organising film screenings and related events. Initial fund-raising events have included:
A BAFTA screening of 'The World Unseen' in aid of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
TedxHolyLand, an initiative to bring Palestinian and Israeli women together for a TEDx conference in Jerusalem on October 28th 2010
A screening at Kings College Junior School in May 2011 in support of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund featuring a live performance by Leonie Casanova
A screening hosted at Credit Suisse in London for the GWN in aid of ELOP
