A dramatic story that looks at the years leading up to the creation of Israel through the eyes of a British soldier posted in Palestine. Though our hero happens to be there for every major historical event, suspend disbelief and enjoy the emotion and the history.

Books

All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy is one of my all time favourite books. Spare, clean prose that is instantly evocative of a time and place so far removed from most of our daily lives. Who knew cowboys could be so poetic?
